I'm very excited to announce that Cutting Room will be airing a fortnightly radio show on the fantastic net-station Future Music FM! The first show goes out on Monday 27th January, from 20.00 until 22.00.

The show aims to deliver an eclectic mix of hard-hitting tracks, old and new. Covering weirdo electronics / distorted techno / punk rock & hardcore / noise-rock / drone / doom / soundscapes, and everything else imaginative, energetic, inspiring, immersive and GOOD.

Very many thanks indeed to everyone so far that has followed the label, bought the tapes (or t-shirts), spread the word, and generally shown support and love in 2013! And an extra special thank you to all of the awesome artists that contributed tracks to the awesome CRRMMXIII compilation, a release I'm still extremely proud of!

The CRR beast has been slumbering for a little while, but will be leaping back into action on 2014, with planned releases on the way from Nolan Dialta, Matthew Pastkewicz and DJ Die Soon! Needless to say, I'm mega excited about delivering these to your ears via the medium of cassette.

In the meanwhile, go pick up the killer new record by NO, buy stuff from Third Type Tapes and Small But Hard, and keep 2014 noisy.

Microbes - "Insert/Overwrite"

Audio/visual album, now available to stream online!

Combining concrete sounds and synthesisers, Microbes has created bespoke soundtracks to specially edited found footage videos. This collection of tracks range from harsh noise and sinister soundscapes through to melancholic ambience and dusty tape-saturated nostalgia. The music can now be obtained as a pay-what-you-wish download available HERE. The complete audio/visual videos can now be viewed in full on the artist's Vimeo channel, or via the playlist below....

Microbes is the musical output of Cutting Room Records founder John Wheatley. "Insert/Overwrite" is an audio/visual album that comes as a DVD and CD set for the bargain price of just £3.00! Each copy is made to order, up to a limit of 30 copies. Whilst not being an official CRR release, you can currently purchase copies from the CRR webstore here.
